BAY ARTS ALLIANCE

Located at the Panama City Center for the Arts,
Bay Arts' mission is to support, promote, and develop the arts as essential

to the revitalization and growth of our community.

ART IS FOR EVERYONE.

Bay Arts is committed to making diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do--it’s why our vision of ‘Art on Every Corner’ is so meaningful to us. We believe art should be accessible to everyone regardless of age, race, or socioeconomic status.

Being inclusive is making sure that everyone has a seat at the table and an opportunity to be heard. This is why it is important to Bay Arts to maintain a diverse board and team. We also give a monthly opportunity for anyone  to join us for a round table discussion in our Main Gallery. This monthly Arts Luncheon allows us to face head on the challenges of inequity in our arts community together.

OUR HISTORY

Since 1978, Bay Arts Alliance has served as the local arts agency for Bay County.

As the manager of the Marina Civic Center for several decades, Bay Arts Alliance brought national touring performances to the area, including Stomp, Sinbad, CATS, and Broadway on IceIn addition, Bay Arts Alliance's Arts in Education programs provide many cultural opportunities for Bay County schools and non-profit organizations at no charge.

For years, over 10,000 children had the opportunity to attend a variety of performances given by national touring companies at the Marina Civic Center at no cost.

With the Marina Civic Center closed due to severe hurricane damage, there is no venue large enough to host as many children, but we are working on alternative ways to bring quality children's shows to Bay County school children. We continually work to develop partnerships with local businesses and other arts organizations and provide assistance to the local arts community in whatever way we can.

We also advocate for the arts to our local and national representatives and are working to grow our contingent of arts supporters to fight for the arts and spread the word about the power the arts have to improve our economy.
